That telltale gurgling in your stomach can be one of the *wooorst* feelings. You know that you’re about to experience a GI catastrophe, and there’s nothing you can do about it—except find the bathroom, pronto! We’re not afraid to get real here, so let’s be specific: technically, diarrhea is defined as having loose stools three or more times in one day. If it’s a chronic issue, it can lead to dehydration and other problems. It can also signal that something more complicated is going on, from an autoimmune condition to a parasite infection. In fact, the runs are a telltale sign of many autoimmune conditions, including lupus, Crohn's disease, and rheumatoid arthritis. No, diarrhea definitely isn’t fun, but it might help point you to the larger issue. To help ease your symptoms and recover from your diarrhea as quickly as possible, drink plenty of fluids and avoid spicy, fatty, or high-fiber foods for the time being. Probiotics can also help. Check in with your practitioner if your diarrhea continues for several days or is accompanied by a fever, abdominal pain, dehydration, or stools that contain blood or pus or appear black and tarry. And don’t stress or be embarrassed! Not only is diarrhea treatable, it’s happened to almost all of us.

Continuing with the I'm Impacted Saga on day 20, my mental health clinic nurse had me drink 64 oz of Gatorade with an entire bottle - 14 doses - of Miralax at the Clinic today. I had a few hours to do it in but drank it all in an hour. I had a little success... straight diarrhea but hey, I was going! Then I came home and vomited for 5 minutes straight. And I haven't gone again since. So, I dunno. Hard not to just give up/give in and say forget it.

I have several digestive changes after possibly having Covid19. I was sick with all of the Covid symptoms in March then developed chronic diarrhea, acid reflux, nausea, and abdominal pain that have persisted since being sick in March. Tested negative for Covid and antibody in May. Several doctor visits and they find nothing wrong to cause this except possible gluten & diary issues which I had already confirmed and eliminated years ago. Anyone else experiencing this after possibly having Covid19?
